September is a busy month. Fashion week is starting this week in NYC. I will be helping the Y3 show on Sunday. I will be playing for the opening of a new Y3 store in Soho next Tuesday. And I will DJing at the Respect party at Santos Party House every thursday until 9/25.
9月は忙しくなりそうです。今週末にNYCではファッション・ウィークが始まります。今回も日曜日に控えているY3のショーで仕事です。来週の火曜日にSOHOでオープンするY3のショップのオープンイング・パーティでDJです。9/25まで毎週の木曜日はSANTOS PARTY HOUSEでRESPECTパーティでのレジデンシーもあります。
Dzine is having his new exhibition "The Beautiful struggle" at the Deitch Studios in Long Island City on September 7th.
My musical projects for the next 3 months include DJ tours in Europe, a few remixes, a new Tokyo Black Star 12" for Innervisions in November, a mix CD for the italian label Reincarnation for X'mas, the next Timewarp party early next year and finally our Tokyo Black Star first album on Innervisions for next January.
今後の3ヶ月の音楽活動としては、ヨーロッパでのDJツアーはもちろん、数曲のリミックス、11月にINNERVISIONSからTOKYO BLACK STARの新曲、X'MAS用にイタリアのレーベルREINCARNATIONのミックスCDの作業、来年の頭に予定しているTIMEWARPのパーティ等、そして来年の1月末に予定をされているINNERVISIONSからTOKYO BLACK STARのファースト・アルバムです!
Innervisions is starting its new fashion line. Innervisions teamed up with the very good german company airbag craftworks for a beautiful laptop sleeve which should be out soon.

The first new issue of the legendary Andy Warhol magazine INTERVIEW remodeled by Glen O'Brien, Fabien Baron and their team is out! It is very good. It is such an amazing new project coming from New York everybody is all excited about.
Speaking about NYC and Andy Warhol, the one and only Graces Jones is back with a new song called "Corporate Cannibal". The video directed by Nick Hooker is awesome. Her new album is scheduled on October 27th on Wall of Sound/PIAS Records and is called Hurricane. Participants on the album include Sly and Robbie, Brian Eno, Bruce Woolley, Tricky and Tony Allen.

The FAITH fanzine crew in London has been doing a very good job in presenting the very exciting world of real dance music in the world. Their latest issue is just out now. I wrote an article about club Yellow in Tokyo. I would love everybody in the world to know how special Yellow was. I highly recommend you to get a copy. It would be great to have a magazine like this in Japan. Only selected information from the world arrive to Japan compared to a few years back. I feel there has been an ever increasing gap between the scenes in the world and Japan. Japan doesn't seem to be anymore that much on point as they used to be. What do you think? ロンドンのFAITH FANZINEはここ数年現在のエキサイティングなリアル・ダンス・ミュージック・シーンをとても面白く紹介し続けている。最新号が発行されました。クラブYELLOWについての記事を書きました。是非世界のみんなに読んでもらって、YELLOWがいかに特別だったのかを伝えたいです。こういった雑誌が日本にあるもっと日本のシーンが盛り上がる感じがしますが...日本には世界から一部の(流行の)情報または偏った情報しか入っていない感じはしていて残念な気持ちです。ここ最近海外と日本のシーンの間にギャップがどんどん出来ていると感じています。皆さんはどう思いますか? And to finish on a very good note, Gamall Awad from demon days/Planet E in NYC forwarded me the release of this very incredible project: Carl Craig and Moritz Von Oswald (aka as Maurizio/Basic Channel) together recomposed as a single piece one of the biggest classical hit of all time "Bolero" by Maurice Ravel as well with Ravel's "Rapsodie Espagnola" and Modest Mussorgsky's "Bilder einer Ausstellung".! It is so hot. How can this be possible? This is out of this world. It's a match made in heaven. Two of the most innovative and influential producers of electronic music join forces for a very special project. It is an hour long track. Be prepared to be breathless, it is astonishing! It is coming out on October 17th, 2008 on Germany's renowned jazz label "Deutsche Grammophon".
そして最後に、 NYCのDEMON DAYS/PLANET EのGAMALL AWADから信じられない企画のニュースが転送されました。何とCARL CRAIGとMORITZ VON OSWALD(MAURIZIO/BASIC CHANNEL)が一緒にあのクラシカル音楽の名作であるあのMAURICE RAVELの「BOLERO」そして続いてRAVELの「RAPSODIE ESPAGNOLA」とMODEST MUSSORGSKY「BILDER EINER AUSSTELLUNG」を一つのピースとして新たに作曲しを直しました! もの凄いことです。あり得ないです。エレクトロニック音楽を代表する2人の立役者が一緒になってこういったプロジェクトに挑戦するのが凄いです。誰も想像を付かなかった夢のような企画です。1時間の音楽ピースです。本当に素晴らしいです! 息が出ません。ドイツの名門ジャズ・レーベル「DEUTSCHE GRAMMOPHON」から10月17日に発売される予定です。
We had 2 very relaxing, refreshing and fantastic weeks for our summer holidays in St Jean De Luz and the Basque Region. I realised you need at least 2 weeks to feel rested.
ST JEAN DE LUZとバスク地方でとてもリラックス、そしてリフレッシュした最高の２週間の夏休みを過ごして来ました。やはり最低2週間休暇を取らないと休んだ感じがしないですね。

Gaspard Yurkievich, Guido and Dani Siciliano came to visit. Gaspard is one of my favorite designer from Paris. Dani (myspace.com/danisiciliano) is a very good singer/artist and lives in Paris now. Dani has been performing and working on the music of Gaspard's collection for a few years now.
