とても素敵な町ST.JEAN DE LUZでゆっくりしてます。スペインの国境から10キロです。スペインとフランスをミックスした独特なバスク文化が存在します。大西洋の海岸沿いの美しい広い浜辺とビーチ、ここでは波乗り、サーフィンはとても盛んでヨーロッパ一のスポットで、内陸地域、山とピレネー山脈は豊で、そして食べ物、特にハム、シーフード(鮪、サーモン、鰯、鱒)とお菓子{特にアーモンド・ベースのマカロン、ツーロン、ムシュー、ガトーバスク)が名物でとても美味しいです!

(From the twice-monthly email magazine earplug), here is an old school chart from the father of the balearic beat in Ibiza back in 88. What a great and interesting mixture and selection of music!

This fantastic piece of music was the perfect one to play when the club opened the doors, putting things in place.

2. Henry Mancini, "The Pink Panther Theme" (RCA)
The closing theme, the one that left everybody with a smile on her face; totally a surprise the first time I played it.

3. Nina Simone, "My Baby Just Cares for Me" (Verve)
A sexy and romantic jazz tune, one for all time. It even made the owner of Amnesia dance.

4. Gilberto Gil, "Girl From Baiaha (Toda Menina Baiaha)" (WEA)
One of the Brazilian records I play — "Belo Horizonte" came much later — and the one that everybody asks for.

5. Thrashing Doves, "Jesus on the Payroll" (A&M)
Rock 'n roll at its best, and the one English people enjoy the most. Great track!

6. Atahualpa 1530, "Andino" (DFC)
A key track in all my sets, because it changes tempo and gives the opportunity to go from downtempo to house. It's a traditional South American melody from the indians that live the Andes.

7. George Kranz, "Din Daa Daa" (Fourth & Broadway)
Another key track to change tempo and style — a fantastic idea, superb! I used to play the a cappella version. Very short but super strong.

8. Prince, "When Doves Cry" (Warner)
Apparently Prince's best-loved record, but very new at the time. What can I say: the most poetic, incredible piece of modern funk, direct from the George Clinton school.

9. The Woodentops, "Well Well Well" (Rough Trade)
The revolutionary track that made the club explode. Probably half of the people never understood the words, but the track transmits so much power; that was enough. (Thanks to Nello, a DJ at the time.)

10. Joe Smooth Inc. feat. Anthony Thomas, "The Promised Land" (D.J. International)
These were the perfect lyrics for where we were at the moment. We were there in the promised land!

A very exciting news. My 2 dearest music heroes David Byrne and Brian Eno are back together again and they are releasing their new album "Everything that happens will happen today". Music is by Brian Eno and lyrics by David Byrne. Both have characterised the album as "Electronic gospel"! It has been 27 years since the ambient pioneer and former Talking Heads frontman released their groundbreaking album the masterpiece "My life in the bush of ghosts" that I love and that inspired me so much. They have also followed Radiohead’s example by making the album physically available later on in numerous formats including enhanced CD and a deluxe box set with artwork by Stefan Sagmeister.The music will be available on the web site from August 18th, free for streaming and available for purchase as both a download and in physical formats. I am really looking forward to it!

今週末３年ぶりにDJ YELLOWが来日します！ここ2年でヨーロッパでは今流行っているディープでトランシーなハウスとテクノ作品を出して多方面から(Josh Wink, Satoshi Tomie, Dubfire等)話題になっているヴェテランDJ YELLOWが8/16代官山のAIRでプレイします。 名古屋のレーベルFOUNTAIN MUSICからTHE INTERMISSION/ DJ YELLOW AND ASTRID SURYANTOを6/25にリリースしました。今年出たダンス・ミュージックのアルバムの中で最もパーソナルで良かったアルバムです。ヴォーカリストASTRID SURYANTOをフューチャしたとても素敵でロマンチックな内容のエレクトロニック・アルバムである。良く聴いてプレイしてます。是非遊びに行ってみて下さい、そして新生DJ YELLOWを体験して見て下さい!

The past 2 years, the creative Dj Yellow has been releasing on numerous labels very good deep and trancey house and techno tracks supported by Djs like Josh Wink, Satoshi Tomiie to Dubfire. He is promoting his first album with the vocalist Astrid Suryanto "The Intermission" on the Nagoya-based label Fountain Music. It is a very beautiful, romantic and personal electronic album. One of the best electronic artist album of the year.

As I mentionned to you a few weeks ago, the new vinyl record shop in Shibuya called Lighthouse Records finally opened late July. The selection is very good. The store is big. It feels like being in a record shop in Europe. And you can listen to your new records on a Genelec or a Klipsch sound system. This is a new hi-fidelity audio new style specialised record shop!

EAST RIVER PARKのAMPHITHEATREでDJ KID CAPRIを迎えてのKRS-ONEの無料コンサート! もの凄かったです。一言でロックしてました。本物のヒップホップのレッスンでした。KRS-ONEは今でも世界一のMCです。とてもインスパイヤーされました! お客さんもみんな一緒に歌ってました。あのWILD STYLEのAMPHITHEATREで何とKRS-ONEが! ヒップホップの歴史に残ります。そして家の前で! 信じられないです。始めて80年代の終わりに川崎クラブ・チッタでBDPを観に行ったことを思い出します。感動しました!

King Britt provided the soundtrack the whole day. It was so good to see him with serious footaball head Dego from 2000 Black who recently moved to Brooklyn.

The Dubai Brooklyn warehouse party in Bushwick was crazy! It is really good to play in those kind of raw warehouse parties. The energy was insane. Everybody is free doing whatever they want partying down. It is a shame the sound system wasn't that great though.

BUSHWISHで行われたDUBAI BROOKLYNのウェーハウス・パーティはクレージでした! こういうパーティでDJするのは現場的にリアルでとても面白いし、大切です。盛り上がってました。みんな好き勝手に出来るのでとてもいいです。サウンド・システムがもうちょっと良ければよかったですけど。

Our Sotto Voce summer fever party at Mangiami was really good. There was such a great vibe in the restaurant. Jason Kincade and Hugh Herrera played real good records.

I went to check the Creative Time presents Playing the Building: An Installation by David Byrne at the Battery Maritime Building in Manhattan. It is an amazing sound installation in which the infrastructure of this great old Ferry building is converted into a giant musical instrument. You play this old organ which is connected to devices attached to the building structure creating activations through wind, vibration and striking producing sounds! This is a brilliant idea.

MANHATTANのBATTERY MARITIME BUILDINGで開催されているCreative Time presents Playing the Building: An Installation by David Byrneを観に。古いカッコいいフェリー乗り場のビルの全体の構造を使って巨大な楽器に変身したDAVID BYRNEによるとても面白いサウンド・インスタレーションです。さすがDAVID BYRNE考えることは凄いです! ビルの構造に繋がっている古いオルガンを弾いて、
風や振動によって音が鳴るとういう素晴らしいアイデアーです。

I went to see at the World Financial Center last Tuesday a free live show of Fennesz + Sakamoto. It was such a beautiful "ambient" show! I really enjoyed Sakamoto on the piano and Fennesz on the laptop and the guitar. They closed the show with Sakamoto's latest song "Koko".

火曜日にWORLD FINANCIAL CENTERのホールでFENNESZ+SAKAMOTOのフルー・ライヴを観に。とても美しいアンビエントのライヴでした! 坂本龍一がピアノを弾いて、FENNESZがラップトップとギターを演奏する編成が良かったです。ショーの最後は今年の3月に出た坂本龍一の最新の曲「KOKO」。気持ち良かったです。

A new live band in NYC called "The Phenomenal Handclap Band" played their first ever show at 105 Rivington on Wednesday. They only played 3 songs (from their forthcoming excellent first album) but it was very good! They play a great mixture of disco/funk/latin/rock. All the band members are all super talented and have been playing with different people in NYC. Quinn aka Bing Jin LIng is one of them. They have a huge cast of excellent musicians on the album.

I was happy to find the other day at Downtown 304 the 2nd release of the Edinburgh-based firecracker label that I love! There are 3 very good deep beatdown releases until now on 10" vinyl records with great american comics type of designed artwork record sleeves.

The new Innervisions EP (IV 17) "D.P.O.M.P." is a hot collaboration between Ame, Henrik Schwarz and Dixon. This is an intense deep floor killer!

次にリリースされるINNERVISIONSの新作(IV 17)はAME, HENRIK SCHWARZとDIXONによる熱いコラボレーション作「D.P.O.M.P.」です。迫力のあるディープなフロアー・キラーです!

話題のドキュメンタリー映画「靖国」を観にMANHATTANのミッドタウンにあるジャパン・ソサエティーで7/2から7/13までに行われている日本映画祭「JAPAN CUTS, FESTIVAL OF NEW JAPANESE FILM」へ。靖国神社、そして日本の第二次世界大戦の歴史を伝える非常に良く出来たそして考えさせられる興味深い作品でした。良かったです。この映画祭では、アメリカとNYC初公開の話題の18の新作の日本映画(Sakuran、大日本人、もがりの森等)、60作の短編映画、そして今年の2月に亡くなられた日本映画を代表する大好きな映画監督市川崑に捧げる特別上映会が行われた。セレクションのクオリティーとセンスがとても良かった映画祭だと思いました。

Thursday night back we celebrated DJ Spun's birthday at my weekly residency at Santos Party House for the Respect Ete d'Amour party. The back to back in the end with Spun, Prince Language, James Curd (Greenkeepers, Chicago) was fun.105 Rivington was on fire on Friday night.

木曜日の夜は毎週の木曜日に行われているSANTOS PARTY HOUSEでのRESPECT ETE D'AMOURパーティのレジデンシーでDJ SPUNの誕生日のお祝いを! 最後、SPUN. PRINCE LANGUAGE, JAMES CURD (GREENKEEPERS, CHICAGO)とのバック・ツー・バックは楽しかったです。そして続けて金曜日は105 RIVINGTONで大盛り上がり。

The Rong Music "Warm-up" party at PS1 on Saturday was great. The weather was absolutely beautiful with a special live performance by Free Blood and a killer inspiring set by birthday boy Spun.

土曜日は素晴らしい天気の中行われた毎年恒例のPS1/MOMA美術館での夏限定の屋外パーティでRONG MUSICのWARM-UPパーティ。FREE BLOODのライブそして最後の2時間はDJ SPUNによる最高のDJセット。SPUNからいつもインスパイヤーされます。

I went for the first time with a group of friends later to eat some real good greek food in Astoria, Queens in the greek neighborhood at "Elias Corner for fish". What a great experience! We had 4 different types of grilled fish. Delicious! This is the great thing living in NYC.

その後、大勢でQUEENSのギリシャ地区ASTORIAでギリシャ料理を「ELIAS CORNER FOR FISH」へ食べに。これがまた凄く面白い体験でした! 4種類の白身の焼き魚がとにかく最高でした! 本当に美味しかったです。こういうことはNYCでしか経験出来ないです。

I crossed the Williamsburgh bridge to hang out at the No Ordinary Monkey Grand Ferry Park afternoon party on Sunday. It was good to see everybody. A perfect way to end up a great NYC summer week end!

日曜日はWILLIAMSBURGH橋を渡ってブルックリンで行われたNO ORDINARY MONKEYのGRAND FERRY PARKの昼間のパーティへ。色々な友達や知り合いが来てました。とても気持ちよかったです。素晴らしい夏のNYCらしい週末でした!

北京でのY-3の新ストアーの記念を祝ってY-3のパーティのDJとして北京に招かれた。始めての北京。パーティ会場は何と故宮の直ぐ並びに立つ新デザイン・ホテル「THE EMPEROR」の屋上のスペース。本当に夢のようなロケーションである! ずっと天気は梅雨空で曇のち雨で、3曲かけた後激しい雨が降り始めて、とても残念ながら最終的にパーティをホテルの地下のレストランに移動。本当に残念で持ったいなかったです! せっかくとてもカッコよく内装された屋上のスペースが用意されていて、素晴らしいパーティが始まろうとしていたのに...がっかりです! こういうこともあります。パーティはこのままいい雰囲気の中で続いて、多くのVIPも訪れて、パーティはいい感じになりました。

Beijing was working non-stop for the Olympics. It is really a fascinating city with lots of beautiful places to visit and things to do. The underground night life scene is vibrating to underground dance music with a lot of different great spaces. You can feel it there more than in Shanghai. It is a very interesting place with great energy open to the future with so much history and culture at the same time. The chinese underground scenes are here.

オリンピックの準備に向けて北京は必死に動いてました。北京には多くの観光スポットがとても楽しくて興味深い首都です。アンダグランドなナイト・ライフも非常に発展していて、色々な面白い場所等で海外のアンダグランド・ダンス・ミュージックが聴けます。上海よりは面白いと感じました。未来に向けてそして同時に過去の歴史と文化を大事に誇りとして保ってエネルギー溢れるとても面白い首都です。中国のアンダグランドは北京にある。

The Loft by David Mancuso is launching its first official record label: The Loft Audiophile Library of Music. The first release is "My Favourite Things", the Studio Version by Alfredo de la Fe and the Live Version by The Latin Percussion Jazz Ensemble. The objective is to re-issue selected master recordings, and release them in the highest audiophile quality vinyl recording 12-inch singles on 180 gram vinyl and 45 rpm. Mastering will be handled by the legendary audiophile engineer Stan Rickman who did the mastering of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" amongst many other great recordings. Their mission statement with the label is "To share authentic musical information (musical recordings, energy, history, messages, visions, emotions, expressions, creativity and artistic integrity) through quality playback."

I am in Beijing this week. I am playing tomorrow night at a Y3 party! I am really looking forward to it. It is my first time in Beijing.

今週は北京に来ています。明日はY3のパーティでDJです! とても楽しみです。始めての北京です。

先週東京でSPACE LAB YELLOWの最終週を経験出来てとても嬉しかったです。僕にとってYELLOWはホームでした。1995年フランスから帰国してから定期的に13年間YELLOWでDJして、遊んで、踊りまくって、パーティをオーガナイズして来ました。YELLOWから本当に多くなものを得て、YELLOWは僕をずっとサポートして来ました。忘られません。心から感謝を混めてYELLOW本当にありがとう! 17年間、素晴らしい刺激、思いで、感動、最高の音楽とサウンドシステムをありがとう。人生が変わりました。5月に行われた最後のTIMEWARPパーティは一生心に残ります。結果的にYELLOWで最後の最適なパーティになって、同時にそこで新しい出発点、ヴィジョンが見せられたと思いました。今後に向けて頑張って、新しいYELLOWをみんなで作りましょう!

Laurent Garnier played a truly fantastic inspiring funky 12 hours set on Friday June 20th.

最終末の6月20日の金曜日LAURENT GARNIERはとてもファンキーで刺激的で素晴らしい12時間セットをプレイ。

Francois Kevorkian played for the closing party on Saturday June 21st. Laurent Garnier took over at 11am on Sunday morning, Danny Krivit and Joe Claussell then joined in, Francois came back and then the 4 played together until the middle of Sunday night. I had never experienced such an amazing vibe. The music was pumping and excellent. It was great to see so many friends. The club was packed. The music stopped a few times. People didn't leave. "I love music" by the O'Jays brought everybody together and in tears. I cried. The last 3 hours were really intense and emotional. Francois and Laurent played together in the end. To see Francois and Laurent together made me so happy. Francois finished with "Blade Runner" a truly beautiful and magical moment at 5:30am. The last party lasted 31 hours.

6月21日の土曜日のクロージング・パーティに伝説のFRANCOIS KEVORKIANがプレイ。日曜日の午前11時にLAURENT GARNIERにバトンタッチ、途中からDANNY KRIVITとJOE CLAUSSELLが入って、午後5時過ぎにFRANCOISが帰って来て、それから4人で日曜日の夜中までプレイ。経験したことにない凄いヴァイヴでした。まさに楽園のような。音楽もパンピングでとても良かった。色々な友達や知り合いに会えて最高でした。クラブは満員でした。アンコールとして音も何度か止まった。しかし誰も帰らなかった。O'JAYSの「I LOVE MUSIC」でみんな一緒になって、一緒に泣いた。僕も泣いた。最後の3時間はとにかく感動的でした。言葉で説明出来ない不思議な雰囲気でした。一番最後はFRANCOISとLAURENTが一緒にプレイ。ブースの中にいる二人の姿を見て嬉しくなりました。そして午前5:30にFRANCOISは「BLADE RUNNER」をかけて17年間のYELLOWのストーリに幕を閉じた。とても美しいマジックな瞬間であった。

I still can't believe Yellow closed down. Yellow will be forever with me! You are the best club in the the world.

I am back in NYC completely knocked out. I need a few days to recover. Tonite starts the Respect is burning Ete d'amour at the new Santos Party House where I will be playing all summer with Neil Aline as resident DJs.

ボロボロになってNYCに帰って来ました。復活するのに数日間はかかる。今夜新しく出来たクラブSANTOS PARTY HOUSEでNEIL ALINEと二人でレジデントを担当するRESPECT IS BURNINGのETE D'AMOURパーティがスタートする。

The Ma shop in Fukuoka operated by minotaur invited Taro and I for a special Ma groove/Timewarp joint party at the brand new club O/D. The Ma shop is a very nice select shop around the minotaur clothing line located in Tenjin, the centre of Fukuoka. Club O/D used to be the legendary club in Fukuoka. Their new space is beautiful. I hadn't been to Fukuoka for 5 years. The party turned out to be very good. Lots of different type of people came down, partied and danced non stop until the morning. There was such a good vibe, a true unity feeling. The energy was electric. I felt something strong and new. It was a truly special night for everyone in every sense! What a perfect party to finish the TImewarp tour! I am very excited about the new O/D and Fukuoka. There is so much energy, enthousiasm in Fukuoka. The food is very good too, from tonkotsu ramen, mentaiko, squid, fish, tofu, take gyoza to soya sauce.

今夜麻布十番にあるラウンジ「Departure Lounge」でDj NoriとDJです。

I am playing tonite with Dj Nori at the beautiful "Departure Lounge" in Azabu-Juban.

First top was Club People in the small peacefull city of Tokuyama, Yamaguchi at the end of the main Honshu island in Japan. It is a great deep little "hand made" club with a nice JBL soundsystem. I got into it and I ended up playing 7 hours until 8:30am. Thank you for such a sweet night.

第二カ所目は新幹線で30分離れた北九州の小倉の伝説のクラブMEGA HERTZ。久々の九州でワクワク。オリジナリティー、文化、歴史、伝統を持つエネルギッシュでモダンな九州が大好きです。食べ物もとても美味しいです。鶏肉とさつま芋が大好きです。今回食べた鳥のお刺身、鳥の炭火焼と芋天がとても美味しかったです!

Second stop was Club Mega Hertz in the very funky town of Kogura, Kitakyushu. Kogura is a big city known for its yakuza connection. I really like the island of Kyushu for its energy, originality, authencity, modernity , culture, history and food! The food is very good. They have very good chicken and (sweet) potato. My favorites were charcoaled grilled chicken, raw chichen sashimi and potato tempura.

DJとプロモータのケンゴウ君のレギラー・パーティ「DIMENSION」でプレイ。とにかく12時過ぎにクラブに着いた時点ですでにクラブは大盛り上がりしてました! 信じられませんでした。踊りまくって思い切って楽しんで声を出す若者達でクラブがいっぱい。とにかく燃えました! 本当に新鮮でファンキでした。お店の雰囲気も最高でした。8時過ぎまでほぼ満員のフロアーをキープしてプレイしてクラブの最高時間の記録を破る。一晩中天国に入る感じでした! 本当に特別でマジックな一晩でした。感動しました。みんな本当にありがとう! これからもまだまだ希望を感じられました。リスペクト!

I played for the party "Dimension" organised by Dj/promoter Kengon. The club was on fire! I couldn't believe it. It was full of crazy young party people going nuts dancing and screaming! So fresh. So funky. I completely went for it! I broke the club record and I played until 8am to a packed dance floor. There was such a strong energy, electricity and unity with the people. I was in heaven! It was such a magic night. Much respect!

やずか3時間の睡眠を取って日曜日は車でパーティのみんなと本州に渡って田舎にある瓦そばが有名な伝説のそば屋さん「たかせ」に。お酒がまだ抜けない。焼きそばに近いそばで最高に美味しかったです! その後は、とてもカッコいい山口情報芸術センター(YCAM)に。東京のSPIRALビルを思い出してくれるヴィジュアルとペフォーマンス・アートを通してす新しいアーティスティックな表現なメディアー技術を紹介しているとても興味深いセンターである。スイスの振付家のGILLES JOBINとOTOMO YOSHIHIDEのライヴが予定されています。

With hardly any sleep, we drove back to Honshu on Sunday to have some very good kawara soba at this very old soba restaurant in the middle of the country side called Takase. The soba are like yakisoba served on a tile with a bit of meat and egg. It was very good! We then went to the beautiful and very interesting Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM). It is pretty similar to Spiral Building in Tokyo. It showcases new forms of "media techinology" related artistic expression exhibiting works of visual and performing arts. Expect soon the exhibition of switzerland's Gilles Jobin and live music performance with Otomo Yoshihide.

北九州から始めて真っ黒でカッコいい航空会社STAR FLYERに乗って前から期待していたCODE;Cの最新ビデオ・ドキュメンタリー「PROMETHEUS」を観る。CODE;Cは本当にマルチ・アーティストで毎回驚かされます! とてもよく出来たドキュメンタリーでした。CODE;CとTRANSPORTによる新しいラインC TRANSPORTも始まります。4Dも目が離せないブランドです。最新コレクションのカジュアルな素材を使用したスーツとカシミアのコートがとにかくカッコよかったです。MINOTAURが発行しているMa MAGAZINEの最新号#0003も出てますのでチェックしてみて下さい。今週の土曜日に福岡のO/Dで行われるパーティが本当に楽しみです。

I watched on my flight back to Tokyo on the very stylish all-black airline Star Flyer the very good video documentary of Code;C exhibition "Prometheus". Code;C is such a great multi-talented artist which surprises us every time! Expect his new clothing line c transport. The new collection of 4D with suits and cashmere jacket is very good. The new Minotaur free paper Ma magazine is finally out! I am really looking forward to the MA party next Saturday in Fukuoka.

The London based Samurai fm which has just celebrated its 5th anniversary has just uploaded a special Tokyo program series called "Tokyo City Special" featuring great mixes from the Tokyo underground galactica labels, DJs and artists like mule musiq, Jazzy Sport, Tripster/Crue-L records, Soup Disk, Circulations, Dj Kensei, Kaoru Inoue and his Seeds and Ground label, Riow Arai, Kay Nakayama, The Sufragettes and Nichinobu Takarada. I have done a mix too part of Fraser Cooke's new show "Study Masters" on Samurai fm. For those of you leaving outside Japan, it is a great step to feel the Tokyo vibe!

土曜日始めてLIQUID LOFTでプレイしました。とてもハマりました。本当に居心地がいいスペースです。まさに誰かのアパートまたはロフトでパーティをしてプレイしてる感じです。MASANORI IKEDAさんとのプレイはとても面白くて新鮮でした。

I played for the first time at LIQUID LOFT last Saturday and I really liked it. It is a great confortable space. It totally feels like playing at somebody's apartment or loft. We had a great time playing together with Masanori Ikeda.

その後、興奮状態のまま、時差ぼけもあって、THEO PARRISHを聴きにSPACE LAB YELLOWに。YELLOWもTHEOも大盛り上がり! 一緒にブースにいたDJ SPINNAもMR.Vもフリークアウト! THEOが作品を出し始めて最初に日本に来た時に何回一緒にDJやった時が思い出す。とても面白かったです! とても影響されたRON HARDYの「MUSIC BOX」のミックス・テープを聞いてる感じがしてぶっ飛びましたね。最近だとTHEOはKUNIYUKIをリミックスしてます。TOKYO BLACK STARとしてもちょっと昔のKUNIさんのトラック「BIRDS」のリミックスもやりました。夏にかけて12"シングルとリミックス・アルバムがmule musiqからリリースされます。最近よくプレイしているmule musiqからのFORCE OF NATUREの最新EP「i-ight」がとてもいいです。

Still psyched by the party, completely jet-lagged and happy to be back in Tokyo, we went to check Theo Parrish's at Space Lab Yellow in the morning. Theo was definitely on fire! Dj Spinna, Mr.V, and all of us were freaking out in the booth. I have great memories playing with Theo a few times in Tokyo when he just started putting out records and coming to Japan. It was really exciting! It reminded me of all the old Ron Hardy "Music Box" tapes I got influenced by. I heard Theo stopped the music late in the afternoon. Theo just did a great remix for Kuniyuki. As Tokyo Black Star we did as well a remix of an old Kuni track "Birds". Expect a series of 12"s and a remix album by this summer. In the meantime, you can enjoy the great new EP from Force Of Nature "i-ight" on mule musiq.

その後、SUNDAY AFTERNOON SESSIONのGALLERYがとてもよいパーティでした。数時間前YELLOWで会っ多くのお客さんが駆けつけてくれた。今回はKLIPSCHORNSの2チャンネルと始めてMARC LEVINSONのアンプを設置。これがまた凄かったです! 音は今まで一番良かったです。素晴らしい相性の組み合わせです! 体験しないと分からないものです。

Gallery was very good on Sunday. Lots of people I saw a few hours earlier at Yellow came down. We set up 2 channels of Klipschorns and for the first time an old Marc Levinson amplifier. I have to say it never sounded that good. It was such good pleasure! It made a really big difference. You have to experience it to understand.

I played last Sunday for the 12th anniversary of the party "Futurehouse" in a great little warehouse in downtown Los Angeles with Hawkeye&Lilyane from Heading home and Juan Nunez from Freestyle. It was a great party and a refreshing experience to play at a warehouse party reminding me of back in the days. People in LA are deep, funky and get down! Thank you so much Juan.

先週の日曜日ダウンタウンLAのある倉庫でHEADING HOMEのLILYANEとHAWKEYE主宰のFUTUREHOUSEの12周年のパーティでFREESTYLEのJUAN NUNEZ達とプレイ。昔を思い出すピュアーなウェーハウス・パーティで、新鮮な気持ちでとても楽しかったです! LAのお客さんはディープでファンキーで踊りまくります! JUANいつもありがとう。

The ramen chain "Ippudo" originally from Fukuoka opened in March in NYC. The restaurant looks great very modern japanese and I have to say the ramen tastes the same as in Japan. It makes me happy. Definitely worth checking out!

NYCにラーメン店「一風堂」が3月中旬にオープンしました。レストランの内装はモダンで和風でカッコいいです。そしてラーメンの味は日本と変わらないです。美味しいラーメン屋さんがNYCで出来ると嬉しいです!

I am back in Tokyo. I am playing 2 parties this week end.

東京に帰って来ました。早速今週末はパーティ2本があります。

パリのCARTIER現代美術財団でアメリカ人アーティストPATTI SMITHのソロ・エキジビションを観に。CARTIER現代美術財団はパリの南にあるフランス人大御所建築家JEAN NOUVELによるガラスとメタルで出来た素晴らしい建物です。1967年から2007年にかけてPATTI SMITH本人による写真、絵と画像のインスタレーションがカッコ良く展示されていて彼女の奥深いポエティックとリリカルな世界観が伝わって良かったです。

The legendary Rex Club in Paris is celebrating from May 14th to May 31st 20 years of electronic music. This is where Laurent Garnier and Dj Deep had their party "Wake up" in the early 90s. This is where the french techno/house scene started and where I met a lot of people. Happy birthday!

パリの伝説クラブREX CLUBは5月14日から5月31日までエレクトロニック・ミュージック・クラブとして20周年を迎える。90年代頭にここでLAURENT GARNIERとDJ DEEPがスタートした伝説のパーティ「WAKE UP」。REX CLUBからフランスのシーンが始まった。ここで色々な人達に出会いました。おめでとう!

Dj Deep played last Thursday with our heroes Larry Heard and Robert Owens. Larry just released on a blue vinyl a new version of his Mr.Fingers classic "Washing Machine". It is always such a pleasure to hook up again with my 2 brothers Dj Deep and Dj Gregory.
