Saturday is the last day to see the 'Quarries' series by Edward Burtynsky at Flowers Central gallery.
As with his other works, the images look at new kinds of landscapes made by man.
Many of these quarries are huge cut-aways into the earth, the scale of which has to be seen to be believed.
Otherwise, check out the incredible documentary 'Manufactured Landscapes' which visits the world of industrialisation in China. Watching this throws up a lot of questions about progress, development and the value of life in the world today.
