I'm always attracted to this kind of book - an autobiography chronicling a 'crash and burn'.
This is the true story of Jordan Belfort, who started the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont Inc. which operated during the 90's, and was later involved in Steve Madden shoes. He led a very disfunctional personal life, with various addictions and was eventually jailed for securities fraud in 1999.
With the nature of this kind of book, I'm not always sure whether there is or isn't an embellishment, but in a way this doesn't impede on the enjoyment.
I read this is a potential next movie for Scorcese...
