The east bay riders have a good vibe, it reminds me of sf 4 years ago, simple, for the love of bikes, before the cool factor built up and broke down.. sort of..

Our friend craig is living in holland, working at Wieden, riding bikes, and getting in neck deep.

2 days ago Lester and Jean Paul took me and mike giant to some whacked out hippie mad max like squatter town thing. it was really amazing. We found ourselves so deep in there and hadn't seen a soul yet. but you could tell there were people there like in vietnam movies where they get to the camp and the fire coals are still hot, you know. but the only people we saw were a lady that told me to "not you takin' pictures here" with her 12 year old daughter that had her faced pierced a lot and an 8 year old kid that road around on his bike in his light blue underwear and he says "HELLO" in perfect english and sounded just like he could be from NJ. fucking bazaar! anyway I attached some pictures but they don't do it justice at all. especially since they were taken from my shit phone camera I may as well have bought at a gas station.

It's no secret san francisco was way late to get a nice new SKATE PARK, and in some ways they missed the mark on it's history of street skating. Where is the skate plaza with emb, and hubba in it? Does anyone have the energy and network to start the process of making something more out of the polo fields? It has a rich cycling history. SF cyclists could be using this space for generations to come. Let's get ORGANIZED. What if the critical mass riders spent that time in front of city planners lobbying to get shit done instead of blocking public transportation, and the working class just trying to get home to their families. what if...
