I spotted some very efficient modes of traditional transport in Shanghai...
...but in a country where a 1,000 new cars are replacing the bicycle per month,
I was disappointed that the streets were saturated with VW's, Buick's and Audi's and
no signs of their own brands... you know, the ones that were inspired just a tiny,
weeny bit by the Western car models. Here's some of the best.
Mercedes S-Class inspired Geely Merrie 300.
BMW 7 Series inspired BYD F6.
BMW X3 inspired Shuanghuan CEO. The name wins on power performance.
Smart inspired Shuanghuan Noble. WARNING: Do not crash in this version.
No way... The Porsche Cayenne? And it's only 9,000 Euros!! I'll take ten, thanks.
Mini Cooper inspired Iifan 320.
The Chinese Lolls-Loyce.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom has a love seat formation whereby the passengers can sit
comfortably facing each other to talk on their journey. The Chinese do it better...
Who wants someone to sit next to you if you are as mighty as the owner of this
stately Geely GE. They can just bow face down on the floor.
