２冊目の作品集「Wonderwall MasamichiKatayama Projects No.2」が、全面リニューアルデザインを手掛けたコレットの先行発売から始まり、10月初旬にヨーロッパ、11月にアメリカ、そして日本でも11/12月に発売。

Projects including Architectural Design Direction are in progress within Japan and other countries. Our second monograph will launch through specialty boutique Colette at the end of September before it is rolled out to the rest of Europe at the beginning of October, in the United States in November 2008 and end November/early December in Japan.

表参道グッチの裏にあったBAPYが、Abbey(旧BAPE CUTS)に
生まれ変わりました。建築からデザインさせて頂いたこの建物は、
ドールハウスみたいで気に入っています。
Bapy behind Omotesand Gucci, was reborn as Abbey(former BAPE CUTS).
I have designed exterior design as well as interior, and I like its
doll-house look.

友人のレセプションに行ってきました。

松浦さんが、TOMATOのSIMON TAYLORを連れて事務所に来てくれました。
松浦さんは、もちろん以前から存じ上げてはいたのですが、
実はこのブログがご縁でお会いして、いろいろとお話できる様になりました。
すごく真面目な方で、幅広い活動を知って驚きました。
SIMONは昔からファンだった憧れの人ですが、会うとすごく気さくな人でした。
お二人とも、一緒に仕事がしてみたい方です。
松浦さん、ありがとうございました。
Mr.Matsuura came by our office together with Mr. Simon Taylor of TOMATO.
I have known of Mr. Matasuura and his, but as a matter of fact, this blog actually
connected us and created the opportunity to meet him. He is a very serious person
and I was quite surprised to learn the range his work.
I had been a fan of Simon's, so it was a pleasure to meet him. He is a really a nice
and friendly person.
I would love to work with them in the future.

今年選考委員をさせて頂いたベストデビュタント賞の授賞式に行ってきました。
ファッション部門、アーティスト部門、空間・ID部門、音楽部門、デビュタント特別
賞から構成され、今後の活躍を期待される人達が選出されます。
毎年テレビで見る「ベストドレッサー賞」と同じ、日本メンズファッション協会が主
催しています。授賞式も二つが一緒に行われました。
空間・ID部門で、c:hordの佐々木一也さんが受賞。インテリアデザインという分野を
もり立てて欲しいですね。これからもがんばってください。
I attended an award ceremony for ' The Best Debutant of the Year for 2007'
for which I was on the selection committee.
The award consists of 5 categories, fashion, artist, space/interior
design, music, and debutant special prize, the award recognizes designers and artists
who have the potential to contribute and make further achievements in their fields.
This award is organized by Japan Men's Fashion Unity, which also organizes
The Best Dress Award which is televised every year.
For the Space/Interior design category, Kazuya Sasaki of c:hord won the
prize. I hope he will rejunvinate the field of interior design. I will be counting on
you, Sasaki-san.

表参道に新しくオープンしたGYREという施設のB１Fに
「CINAGRO」というお店がオープンしました。
いろいろなメンバーと一緒にお仕事させて頂いたプロジェクトです。
是非遊びにいってください。
"CINAGRO" has opened in the basement of newly opened retail complex
called GYRE in Omotesando.
I enjoyed working with various creators on this project.

仕事以外ほとんど時間がなかったのですが、合間に少しだけ街を歩きました。
I was working all the time, but I managed to find short time to walk around.
*A Bathing Apeのトビーさんに「絶対行った方がいい」と教えてもらった
John Lobb。ここはオーダーメイドの靴だけで、工房とサンプルしかないの
ですが、ショップの原点を見るような素晴らしい空間でした。
John Lobb: Toby of *A Bathing Ape recommened that I see his store.
This is made-to-order shoe store simply contained the samples and
mateirals, but it was such a wonderful space, based on the bare minimum.
最近クレインダイサムがデザインを手がけた、老舗のデパートセルフリッジズ。
Department store Selfridges, recently designed by Klein Dytham architecture.
Liberty。チューダー様式のこじんまりとしたクラシックなラグジュアリーデパート。
Liberty, cozy and classic luxury department store with tutor style.
Serpentine Galleryで、金沢で見逃した「拘束のドローイング」がやっていて、ラッキー。
I was lucky to be able to see “Drawing Restraint” in Serpentine Gallery,
which I missed in Kanazawa.
Serpentine Galleryの敷地内に有名建築家が手がけるテンポラリーの建物
があります。今年はZaha Hadid。
On the compounds of the Serpentine Gallery, there is a tempoaray
building that is always designed by a famous architect. This year
it’s done by Zaha Hadid.

White Cubeを見てきました。Chuck Closeの展示をしていました。
大変気持ちのよいギャラリーです。
An exhibition of Chuck Close was taking place at White Cube.
