日が暮れてから、ピーター・アイゼンマンによるホロコースト記念碑へ。
After the sun set, we visited the Holocaust-Denkmal Berlin by Peter Eisenman.
ユニクロで一緒に仕事をしているマーカスからの紹介で
ドイツVanity Fair編集長のウルフ・ポーシルトのオフィスへ。
この人、博士号を持っていて、「DJカルチャー—ポップカルチャーの思想史」
という本が日本語でも出版されています。
どこに行ったかと矢継ぎばやに聞かれ（笑）、早速オープンしたてのレストラ
ンを予約してくれました。短い時間でしたが、面白かったです。
Introduced by Markus, my colleague on the Uniqlo proejcts, we went to
see Ulf Poschardt, editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair Germany.
He has a doctorate degree and wrote a book entitled
'DJ Culture. Diskjockeys und Popkultur' and it is even published in Japanese.
He asked me a chain of questions of where I have been in Berlin, and
then booked a reservation for us at a brand new restaurant for that evening.
It was a short visit, but fun.
食事迄時間があったので、オフィスの目の前にあるグッゲンハイムでJEFF WALLを鑑賞。
その後、レストランに向かいました。
写真はないのですが、ホテルの裏路地の倉庫の様な所を抜け、クラブを抜け、
本当にあるのか？と思ったら、やっとレストランに到着。オープンしてまだ一週間の
クッキー＆クリームというレストランでした。しかも、ベジタリアン。
これも思ったより美味しい。１０時過ぎてからの食事だったので、軽い感じでちょうど
良かったです。ウェイティングバーがキッチンの中。面白いお店でした。
I still had sometime, so I visited the Guggenheim Berlin and enjoyed
the Jeff Wall exhibition. Then headed to restaurant.
I don't have a photo of this but to get to this place, we had to go
through this ware-house like place behind the hotel, walk through a club.
I began to wonder if this restaurant really existed until we finally
got to the restaurant. It was a vegitarian restaurant called‘Cookies &
Creame' and it had only been open for a week. The food exceeded my
expectation and since we didn't sit down until 10pm, a vegitarian
dinner was the right choice. Another funnying thing was that the bar
was in the kitchen.
隣にたまたま座っていたのが、これまたMarkusとUlfの友人、Oskar。
面識はなかったのですが、僕らが行く事は聞いていたそうで、すぐに気がつい
て話しかけてきてくれました。WEEKENDというクラブのオーナーです。
話をしていると、翌日行こうとしていたHansaviertalという場所に
住んでいるとのこと。詳しくはまた書きますが、
内部を見れると思っていなかったので急遽お家にお邪魔する事に。
At the next table, there was Oskar, a friend of Markus and Ulf.
We had never met, but he knew we were coming.
He found us immediately and approached us to say hi.
He is the owner of WEEKEND, a club in Berlin.
As we were talking, he told us that he lives in one of the bungalows
in Hansaviertal, where we planned to visit the next morning.
He kindly invited us to come by aftewards, and so I had a pleasure to
see what the interior looked like which was a pleasant treat since I
had only planned to see the exterior this time.
その後、彼のクラブ、ウィークエンドを見せてもらいました。
オフィスビルの１フロアーで窓のあるクラブを作るとは斬新です。
After this midnight visit to his place, we went to his club, WEEKEND.
A club in an office building with windows. Very original.

初日からずっと一緒に回ったタクシーの運転手さん。
以前はcivil engineer(土木技術士）という事で、建築関係の事にも詳しくてラッキー。
２日目の朝、見せたいものがあるとある所に連れて行かれました。
The taxi driver, who has been with us since the first day.
He used to be an civil engineer, so he was also interested in the
architecture. I guess I was lucky to have met someone like him.
When he picked us up in the mornings, he would make suggestions of
places to show us and take us there.
お役所でした。そしてベルリンの都市開発模型。
どの様に開発が行われてきて、この先どんな風にかわって
いくのかが分かっておもしろかったです。
At city hall there was a mock up of the city development.
It showed how Berlin has been developed and what its future plans are.
Quite interesting.
目の前にあった公園。ベルリンで一番小さい動物園だそう。
熊が２匹だけいるとのこと。不思議です。
熊の名前SchnuteとMaxiと生年月日が看板に書いてあります。
でも、お目にかかれませんでした。
In front of city hall, there was a park with the smallest zoo in Berlin.
A zoo with only two bears. Curious.
On the plaque, it stated their names, Schnute and Maxi, along with
their birthdays. Unfortunately, I could not say hi to them.
ハンブルガー・バーンホーフ現代美術館。
以前は駅だった場所を、美術館として使っています。
美しい構造に、広大なスペース。こんな美術館が都心にあるのはうらやましいです。
The Hamburg Bahnhof Museum, former train station turned modern art museum.
A vast amount of space with beatiful structure. It is envous to see
a museum of this scale in the center of the city.
今回ホテルを紹介してくれた032cBerlinの編集長のヨーグ・コッホとランチ。
とってもかわいいドイツ料理の店に連れてってくれました。
心地よい雰囲気をだしているお店です。

He took us to lovely local restaurant. Very homey.
彼とても大きいんです。僕が小さいわけではありません。
He's really tall. It's not that I'm short.
一緒にギャラリーへ。少し本を物色。
Another trip to a gallery for book hunting.
銃痕が壁に残っている場所がありました。
A wall distroyed by bullets.
Joergのおすすめの一つ、Manufactum.
彼曰く「キュレーションされた東急ハンズ」。
まさにその通りでした。しかも分厚いカタログまでありました。
こういう店があると便利ですね。
