お昼の便でオランダへ行くので、早起きしてインターバウ跡地へ。

インターバウは集合住宅で、１９５７年に開催された国際建築展（インターバ
ウ）の一部として西ベルリンのHansaviertelに作られました。
当時の有名建築家が住宅を設計していて、その建物がまだ住宅として使用され
ています。東ドイツと西ドイツが威信をかけ、建築で張り合っていたそうです。

事前にくわしいことが分からずに行ったので、どの建物が誰による建築かが分
からずに困っていたところ、初日からずっと一緒に回っていたタクシーの運転手さんが
管理事務所を探し当ててマップを貰ってくれました。

I woke up very early to vist the Interbau Memorial before catching the
noon flight to The Netherlands.
*Interbau* was a housing development, constructed as part of the 1957
International Building Exhibition in the Hansaviertel area of West Berlin.
Many star architects contributed to this exhibition, and the buildings
are still being used as housing developements.
East and West Germay locked horns staking their prestige by architecture.

I actually did not know much about it beforehand, and had no idea
which building was designed by whom.
Then, our taxi driver from the first day, found the management office
and got a hold of the map that identified the buildings with the
architects.

空港に向かう途中に、コルビジェのUnite d'HabitationとOlympic Stadiumを
駆け足で。
